April Novice School + Autocross Points Event #2

We are hosting an Autocross Novice School on Saturday (CLICK HERE), April 21 followed by our Second Autocross Points Event (CLICK HERE) of the season on Sunday, April 22!

Registration for members opens Friday 3/23, and non-member registration will open Saturday 3/24.

What is a novice school?

It’s a great opportunity to get a year’s worth of autocross runs in on one day!  Each student is assigned an instructor for the day, and all novices are split up into two groups/heats to get as many runs as possible.

The cost of entry is $75 for members, or $90 for non-members… but wait! There’s more!

For the cost of this school you will also receive a $25 credit towards Points Event #2 (meaning as a member it will be free, a non-member will only pay $10) **OR** you may request a credit for Gripfest 14 at NCCAR on April 29th!.  Lunch will also be provided, most likely pizza/sodas/water/chips/etc.

The day will go as follows:

7:30                  Gates Open
7:30 – 8:00       Registration + pairing up students with instructors
7:45 – 8:15       Tech
8:30                  Drivers Meeting / Class/ Group instruction
9:20                  Break up into groups – Group 1 to Grid
9:25                  First Car Off
9:25 – 10:25     Course Driving Group 1
10:30 – 11:30   Course Driving Group 2
11:30 – 12:30   Working Lunch(Provided by TSCC) w/ open discussion about driving techniques, things learned, etc.
12:30                Instruction resumes
12:30 – 1:30     Course Driving Group 1
1:35 – 2:35       Course Driving Group 2
2:35 – 3:35       Course Driving Both Groups (Instructors working Course)
3:35                  End of Day meeting all help set up course for Sunday/clean up
The cost of the event will be $75 for members, or $90 for non-members.
Instructors will get to take some fun runs towards the end of the day and the immense satisfaction in helping new autocrossers!  If you have some experience, know how to read a course, can explain basics of performance driving and are interested in instructing, please help us out and sign up!
